For sale is my 1957 oval window sunroof Beetle. This is a matching numbers car with an original Golde sunroof, not a graft.

The car was manufactured in February 1957, and exported to Sweden the following month, where it remained until approximately 2011. I purchased the car in 2012, and carried out a full nut and bolt restoration, using the best quality parts available.

The car was stripped to a bare rolling shell, body split from the pan and both were blasted. The panels used were supplied by:
Klassic fab - heater channels and front wings
Autocraft - front and rear valances
Wolfsburg west - floorpans
Wolfparts - spare tyre well and rear crossmembers
Hooky’s panels supplied lower rear quarters, rear bumper hangers, windscreen corners, correctly modified rear body mounts, and fully repaired a pair of genuine 1958 rear wings.

Virtanen running boards with Kafer Rostfrei “fade out” rubbers are fitted.

After the repair work was finished the bare shell was etch primed, primed and painted in l324 polar silver two pack. The chassis was etch primed and painted in two pack black. Everything on the chassis, hard and soft brake lines, cylinders, shoes, springs, shockers, are all new. The brake drums were skimmed, and the backing plates were powder coated prior to assembly.

Every rubber seal and bung is new, the complete wiring loom has been replaced, the original switches have all been cleaned and restored to the car. The exterior trim is stainless steel, as are the bumpers and overriders. The hubcaps are genuine VW, with the centre emblem painted. The headlights, rear lights, and semaphores have all been rebuilt.

The engine was stripped, requiring only a top end overhaul with new valve guides. All of the tinware is powder coated, a new 180mm clutch kit, and a genuine VW round exhaust is fitted.

The entire interior has been replaced with everything supplied by Wolfsburg West to ensure a top quality job in the correct grey / blue flecked cloth with tan square weave carpets, a new cloth headliner, and canvas sunroof cover.

The steering wheel has been restored too.

The car comes with Swedish style rear gravel guards, genuine VW mudflaps, original Swedish market rear reflectors, and new firestone whitewall tyres. The original Swedish supplying dealer badges are refitted on the front quarter panels. It also has a SWF windscreen washer glass bottle, and pump mechanism fitted.
I have a comprehensive file of paperwork including the original bill of sale, Swedish mot’s, tax discs, and the original owners handbook in Swedish, as well as the birth certificate from VW.

The car is registered for use on UK roads, and is ready to show. If the new owner wishes, some spare parts can be included.

I have my VW 1976 T2 automatic for sale. I imported her from South Africa (right hand drive) where she lived inland at high altitude (rust free climate) hence the great body condition. Its well worth your time to come and take a look, parked in Welwyn Garden city area.

This van is a pleasure to drive and is an increasingly rare find.

She has been worked on in the UK by a very experienced mechanic well known and VW club recommended. The van is sold with a certificate of authenticity from the VW Heritage club. A list of works I have had done in last 6 months, all with quality parts:

New exhaust
New track rods and ends
4 brand new Hankook Vandura tyres
New wheel bearings as required
New master cylinder, wheel cylinders and shoes
Lower ball joints replaced both sides
New seals stopping any fluid leaks
Engine tune

The mechanic said that it’s the best example of a van from South Africa that he had seen and that it is remarkably solid. She is currently parked in Hertfordshire if you would like to view. The seats are all original and in very good condition both front and rear. There are still minor works which would be enjoyable for the new owner to carry out, but all mechanicals are running beautifully. Things like fitting a new carpet on the floor, fitting a stereo, new petrol gauge, camper conversion? Etc.. These are jobs that are easy and enjoyable for the new owner/hobbyist to carry out depending on what use the van will be for. I am selling due to relocation and I would have liked to have kept her longer. Having had the steering and braking systems overhauled this van runs very well and being an automatic it is a pleasure to drive.

Feel free to contact me.

Sad to sell this lovely Beetle,

Featured in Volksworld magazine May '17 edition. Always turns heads and drives great. This was restored 2 years ago and has MOT until July 2018 on it, recently re-welded underneath and it good to go to a keen enthusiast. We won best Beetle at Malden VW meet in 2017. Engine has not been restored but still runs great! Great looking car looking for a good new home.

Serious offers only! Surfboard included!

100% Original and complete vintage VW Hazet toolkit.

Based on internet research it is estimated this kit dates between 1959 and 1960

Beginning around 1950, Hazet began producing this tool kit that was round in shape and fit onto the spare tire in the trunk of Volkswagen Beetles, Porsche 356, and other cars. The VW embossed version was sold through the VW dealer system.

13 piece set contains (Part no. / description):

1850 - 6" steel plier
814-02a - Phillips stubby screwdriver
2527 - T-bar wrench
450 - 7x8mm twin end spanner
450 - 10x12mm spanner twin end spanner
605 - 13mm open/closed end spanner
605 - 14mm open/closed end spanner
772/2 Wrench
2561 - 21mm /36mm double end large closed spanner
811-9R large long screwdriver
760 - mole grip
813-2 screwdriver
764 - sparkplug socket

The box is VW embossed in silver has a flock lining, complete with internal decal which depicts contents other than the anomaly of showing a medium screwdriver which was added to the kit but does not show on the decal! This was a peculiarity of the decals used by Hazet at that time! Some slight rusting and tar deposits on the tin, but in good condition for its age.

Tools are all unsused and complete (none missing) Screwdrivers still have original blue paint on handles, in very good condition.

Open to offers. This is a very rare and collectable item for a VW enthusiast that would perfectly complement a restoration project.

This car is in absolutely incredible condition for its age. There is a slight tear in the driver's seat which is very common on Beetles.
The electrical system is the original 6volt however it does have LED bulbs in the rear lights to be brighter.
This is an incredibly solid original car and has the original service book and manual.
It has done 75,382 miles (believed genuine)

This is a beautiful, mint and unrestored 1971 1300 VW Beetle. I acquired this Beetle a couple of years ago from a gentleman that had owned it all of its life. He has looked after it like no other car you will see!

To find a RHD Beetle in this unbelievable condition is very rare! No restoration work has been done on this vehicle. It has been garaged and regularly wax oiled.

All original paint and in immaculate condition inside and out. This car drives like brand new! Doors shut like brand new! All original stickers still present. Keys are un worn. Foot pedal rubbers are unworn! All seats are like new!

Comes with original steel wheels.

And the best bit - only 44,000 documented miles!

You have to see this car to believe it! It belongs in a museum!

Price £10,500.00 ovno.

VW Kubelwagen 1940 > 1945 Front Offside 1/4 Panel Upper Section

When doing some work on my Kubel earlier this year, I needed some replacement metalwork within the lower wheel arch, and having acquired the repair panels, which were produced some years ago, they turned out to be a wrong fit, and unusable, despite much effort to make them fit.  Today, the only panel available from the Czech Republic, is the complete 1/4 panel, which I bought, and only used the lower section.  I'm sure somebody somewhere could do with this.

As it cost me £400 for the complete panel, I'm looking for £200 for this upper section.  If interested, please call or e-mail me.
